Rare original production cel featuring Papa Panda from the 1940 Andy Panda short, 100 Pigmies and Andy Panda. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, Disney had great success marketing its' cels through Courvoisier Galleries. Almost every studio made an attempt to emulate that success by marketing their art. This particular piece was prepapred for sale by the studio. The cel is slightly trimmed to 9" x 12" and has been silk-screened with a Walter Lantz dedication. The adorable image of Papa Panda measures 3.5" x 8" and is in very good condition overall with slight discoloration from aging.
